HISTORY FACEBOOK
Facebook was born at Harvard University in the United States. The social
network was launched on February 4, 2004 from Mark Zuckberg's small room. The
idea was simple but revolutionary to create a new way of sharing day-to-day
experiences.
This is how the concept of 'Facebook friend' was created, which in the future would inspire new social networks such as Twitter

THE BEGINNING
At first, Facebook was used internally among the same University students. Within a month of life, 50% of Harvard students were already enrolled. At that time, 'The Facebook' began to enable other Universities such as Columbia and Stanford.

Interest in the community of these universities grew considerably and at the end of 2004 the social network is open to almost all universities in the US and Canada with around one million users. but over time anyone with an email account could access
FACEBOOK RENEWAL
2005 is one of the key years for Facebook. First, the social network
loses the "The" and becomes officially and only on Facebook adds new
functions such as tagging people in photos. second, Facebook opens its doors to
more users and allows high school students and universities from other
countries (Mexico, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia) to access the social
network. At the end of the year, Facebook already had around 6 million active
users

Five years after the website was created, on February 9, 2009 Facebook
activates the iconic "like" button. In that year Facebook became the
most famous platform in the world with 350 million registered users and 132
million unique monthly users.
In addition to all this, in 2010 Facebook is valued at more than 37,000 million euros, becoming the third largest web company in the US, only behind Google and Amazon.
Even so, the controversy has not been on the side of Facebook. Zuckberg had to face an idea theft lawsuit from three of his college classmates. Finally, the founder of the social network paid 65 million dollars to end the lawsuit.
